The fun part of how I write most of my books is there's no outline. I didn't actually have any idea what I was writing when I sat down. I still didn't have any idea when I was typing on my keyboard. Heck, I wrote a couple hundred words with still no idea on what I was writing. However, I wanted to keep my writing every single day goal alive and it just so happened to lead me to a short story I wanted to share with my readers.

The littlest things inspire me. Heck, I wrote a full book in eight hours the other day because chocolate milk inspired me. :-p The story has nothing to do with chocolate milk, before you guys ask. It doesn't have to necessarily be in the context of the inspiration. It just has to cause some form of motivation to encourage my brain to write.

I have a lot of things hiding up my sleeve. I don't want to drop any spoilers. However, what I can tell you is that I am working on a short story collection. It's to give my readers a feel for other genre's I like to play around in. Soon, I will be writing in other genres. Shorts, novelettes, novellas, and novels. Just give it time guys, this is going to be a long, fun journey. :-)

Find time to write every day. Every single day. Rain or shine. Bad day or good. Five minutes or ten hours. Write! It helps keep your brain going and inspiration flowing.

I say this all of the time, actually. I love how the story can go anywhere. I can add in flying monkeys or paint the city pink, or keep things completely realistic for you guys. Anything can happen at any moment... the control is in the words.

The thing that helps me the most is allowing myself to get distracted by other things while keeping the story line in the back of my head. Usually after a few minutes or a couple hours I end up being able to move on. Sometimes it lasts days, weeks, or months. That's when I have to move on to something else until the next part in the story hits me. :)
