Ah, good question! What mystery in my own life. . .? Well, the mystery as to why my life has been spared at least five times--the five times that I'm aware of--for reasons God only knows. But I can take comfort in knowing that I will not leave this earth prematurely, but will remain until I finish my purpose. We are all born for a cause; it is our appointed destiny to fulfill it. It may not be glamourous, popular, or appreciated, but it is designed just for you. Thanks for your intriguing question. It made me think and reflect back on my life.

How do I deal with writer's block? Well, I will challenge my creativity by taking a walk, or a drive, or talk with people. People and my surroundings always inspire and get my creative juices flowing. Writer’s block can also mean that you’re simply tired, and need to take a break. So, take one, and then return to your craft more refreshed and ready!

The best thing about being a writer? You become the god of the world you have created. You become omnipresent, omnipotent, and omnificent as the writer, creator, and author. That makes for broad prospects and endless possibilities!

My advice for aspiring writers is: WRITE! Not exactly novel advice, but it is pragmatic. If you inspire to be a writer, then it’s obvious what you must do. You may write only a sentence in a day, or a paragraph in a week, but do WRITE! Remember, nothing is written in stone. If you write something and then dislike it, the pencil has an eraser and the computer keyboard has a delete button. Don't be afraid to make mistakes and errors. Writing is a learning process; writing skills must be exercised, practiced and developed into a craft. So, get on your mark. Ready. Set. Go!

Thanks for asking. I am currently working on the third and final novel in The Heart series trilogy: My Heart's Home. It is due out for the month of February 2015. The first novel (Romancing the Stony Heart) was based around the protagonist, Carson King. The second novel (Heart and Soul) was mainly on the viewpoint of the rather antagonistic half-brother, Laramie King. This final novel in the series is based around Seprah Nelson/King, the female protagonist who is now married to Carson. Life comes full circle for all the characters. So, get ready for twisted plots, secrets, and tears!

I'm inspired to write by looking at life in general; the past, present and future. I tend to look at the world as I have experienced it as a young girl (as it was then), and in my middle-age (as it is now), and in hopefulness for the future (what I want the world to be). So, I inspire myself by looking at my life, and the world around me.

Good question! Thanks for asking. My most recent book, Heart and Soul, is the second novel in The Heart series trilogy. The idea of the story continues in the same vein from the first novel in the series. As a fiction writer I will spin the wheels of creativity and design twisted plots using familiar Biblical accounts (particularly the Old Testament/Hebrew Scriptures) for ideas. I find many of the characters in the Bible to be intriguing, frightening, and even puzzling at times. So, I take the bulk of my ideas from stories written in the Bible, and weave my fictional characters into the modern world.
