I usually go somewhere quiet in the house, turn off the TV and do something to turn on my creativity. Read a book, draw or paint, but what normally works is reading what I've written so far, getting in the characters. Some time afterward, Ideas come to me. When that happens, have a pad and pen ready to jot them down or a small record, because you might forget them before you get back to writing.

The freedom to express yourself; to create images, scenes and characters in your mind and to share them. The best thing, of course, is to know that someone who read your work felt an emotion.

Keep writing and don't give up. The more you write the easier it gets and the better the writing gets. Practice every day. Don't forget to read.

I go to a favorite room in the house or quiet place outside alone and just let myself relax and let go. Then ideas begin to come and soon I am off to write them down.
