Be proud of what you do and who you are! Write things that make you happy. I think when you release a book, especially independently, its such a personal thing. Its so easy to be crushed if people aren’t receptive or don’t enjoy the story. If you write for you, something that you love and are proud of, then no matter what anybody else thinks of your work, you can always hold your head high.
Remember, everyone has different taste. Have confidence and don’t be afraid to take a chance on yourself!

Bang my head against the computer desk? Joking, joking! I find that sometimes the most effective way to deal with writers block is to step away for a little bit. Sometimes its so easy to get in your own head and then its impossible to move forwards. I find that sometimes walking away for a little while and then coming back with fresh eyes and fresh perspective can do wonders.

“Mistress of the Crossroads” was inspired from so many places and so many conversations. I have such close relationships with my parents, sisters and of course my wonderful husband. What started as an idea in a dream found form and shape while I rambled on (like a crazy person) and they listened patiently and supported me!

The best thing about being a writer is that anybody can be a writer! Its all about creativity and passion and those are two things that anybody can explore. Whether you write for yourself or for an audience, writing can be such a therapy and so empowering. It's personal, powerful and exciting.
It's having the chance to explore a whole little world of your own creation and I feel very blessed to have had that opportunity.
