I love the writing itself -- working with words until they line up and do exactly what I want them to. Words are fun, and there are endless ways to combine them to get just the feeling you hoped for. I also like knowing that there are always ways to make my story better. Figuring out what those are is very satisfying.

My next book, WHEREVER YOU GO, comes out May 5, 2015 from Little, Brown. I got the idea while I was working at my day job. Two lines of poetry popped into my head. "Roads go ... over a hill, under a bridge, deep in a valley, high on a ridge." I wrote them down and emailed them to myself at home. From there, I started thinking about all the other places roads go and how, many times, we can choose which roads we travel in life.
