I currently have 3 projects in the works. One is a group project that is being written by myself and 3 other writer's as a collaborative story. The Second is one with a friend from high school and will be a horror novel with a female lead. The third is one called "Murder In The Storm" and was inspired by Carrie Underwood's song "Blown Away". That one is about half done at the moment.

The idea for my most recent book came from Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland and the City of Frankenmuth. It is Michigan's Little Bavaria and known for the World's Largest Christmas Store. Being Christmas is my favorite holiday and I am a big believer in Saint Nicholas made perfect sense to write a story about Saint Nicholas in Frankenmuth.

I usually have a minimum of 2 stories going at a time. When I hit a roadblock with one I try moving over to the other one I have going at the time as it may lead to ideas for the other. Also listen to a lot of movie scores while writing. So, this inspires me as well and a lot of the times will lead to an idea that breaks the writer's block.

Being that I am a self-published author I get to publish at my own pace. Which I love. I also love the freedom I have because of this. Love to have an actual publisher one day, but don't know if I would want the deadlines.

Set the time aside each week at the same time in order to write. I have what I call "Writing Wednesday" each and every week. I go to the coffee house of choice and work at writing or developing a story for a minimum of 6 hours. Also don't give up and keep at it. Rome wasn't built in a day and it took me 7 years to get my first book self-published.

I was inspired by a song that I heard on the radio on my way to visit my dad in Northern Michigan on a very wet and dreary October Saturday back in 2005. That song was "The Legend" by Steve Cook and it became the driving force behind my first novel "The Seventh Year".
