Inspiration just hits me like a ton of bricks. I always keep a notebook nearby since I never know when it will happen. (I've been known to sit in the Target parking lot for an hour and write because I just have to get the ideas down!)

Read, write, and try, try, try. Don't get discouraged by rejection, but make sure you listen to criticism, too. You don't have to agree with it, but always listen to it.

That's a hard question. I think the best thing about my first book, Holding Avery, is that it has the potential to help people coping with grief. When it comes to writing fiction, (which is what I'm currently working on), it's the ability to create.

I have two ways I deal with writer's block. I either go for a run or read another book. They both work!
