I am working on a story about witches and warlocks(or wizards) that I am excited about. I realize it's been done many times but I like to think I put a different twist to the stories I write. I love to think outside the box. The book I just finished was just that, something familiar with a twist that has not been seen before. It will be out soon.

Don't let fear hold you back as I did for years. Just do it and you will find fulfillment in knowing your words are out there, someone will read it, and hopefully love it. Don't be afraid of reviews as they help you be a better writer. You will get great ones and not so great ones. Use them as a guide to help improve your writing skills. I've had both good and bad reviews and although I was a bit hurt at the not so good reviews, I decided to use those comments to improve where I needed. I am told it's working!

Being a writer! You have the opportunity to write what you want, when you want. You can use that imagination and take it to the limit.

Writer's block is the worst! It is just like literally hitting a brick wall. I usually leave it for a couple of days and decompress. Try to take my mind elsewhere; take the pressure off. By the time the itch starts to get back to the story, I've figured it out again and off I go!

I believe inspiration comes from within. I've always wanted to write however, the genres that interested me were not 'cool' at the time. I could have started writing years ago but my fear was 'would anyone even read it?' Fear is your worst enemy when striving to be an author. I've since realized that I would write no matter what and if anyone got enjoyment out of one of my books, I am happy.

My ideas for the stories I write come from my imagination, which is vast! However, once I decide which story to write, I start with some research and continue that research as I write. I must say though that much of what I write is my own. Writing allows all of us to use our imaginations as far as we want.
