Creating something that inspires. My greatest sense of accomplishment comes when a reader tells me about their personal reaction to my work. Last week, I was surprised when an acquaintance, a man that I don't know well, told me he'd read Yes Means Yes on vacation. He enjoyed it and admired my skill as a story teller. I was surprised by his enthusiasm since early in the book launch, I assumed it would appeal more to women than to men. I'm now convinced it appeals equally well to both genders. He'd passed it on to his wife and another couple. Made my day.

It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I go for a hike. Being outdoors, surrounded by trees, and drenched in sun, rain, or snow, my mind becomes inspired and creative. I've had my best inspirations that way.
