Amanda Renee I think the idea behind the 'Welcome to Ramblewood' series has always been with me. Many of the characters are members of my own family. Kay and Joe were my grandparents and this series keeps their memory alive. I recently stumbled across a list I wrote when I was seven, of the things I wanted to accomplish when I grew up. The majority of the items on that list are in the Ramblewood books. The town of Ramblewood has always been in my head...a second home of sorts. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to share it with the everyone through Harlequin.
Amanda Renee Not writing was never an option. From the moment I could read, I wanted to write. I've always had two loves...music and writing. I can remember getting my first guitar and writing my first article around the same time. I've always had both in my life and I've been blessed enough to live both dreams. I'm an avid reader. My mom's belief was if I wanted to read it, she'd allow it. I didn't always understand what I was reading, but I asked questions and it fueled my desire to read more. I had my own stories brewing in my head and by the time I was 16, I knew what my career path would be.
Amanda Renee More books for the Harlequin American Romance 'Welcome to Ramblewood' series. I'm also working on two secret projects :)
Amanda Renee Never give up. If you have a dream, follow it and don't let anyone belittle you for it. If I had listened to all of the naysayers, I wouldn't be where I am. Success is the best revenge. :)
Amanda Renee Working from home, keeping my own hours...which tend to be crazy. I try to get in a minimum of 8 hours a day of writing and still find time for everything else. I tend to do more writing at night while spending time with my family during the day.
Amanda Renee I'll either play guitar or take a walk on the beach. Ideas will begin to pop into my head...usually when I have nothing to write them down on. I'm learning to keep my phone nearby so I can add a quick voice memo before the thought gets away from me.
