Judith Mehl I usually ruminate for a bit. If an answer doesn't come for the section I'm working on, a possible direction comes up for an area later in the book that has only been sketched so far.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Judith Mehl The characters in my last book usually tell me what they want to cover in the next book. The problem is choosing just one area.
