I'm writing the first book in a new series that is set sixteen years on from the end of the Nick Smith series. A lot has changed in this new world and the first book is centred around Nick Smith's two sons. I'm really enjoying writing this book and I can't wait to get it finished and published.

I've heard it said that if you are suffering from writer's block then you are writing the wrong book. This is probably true in some cases. However sometimes I find that I have simply written myself down to a dead end. In these cases I backtrack to the point where that trail began. Sometimes I just need some fresh air and daylight.
