Oh thank you Rosemarye, unfortunately I think it is unlikely that I will. So pleased to hear that you loved those two and the setting - they are close to my heart!
I do have a new book coming out in May this year, in the UK and Australia, which is set in Italy - I hope you manage to find it.

Oh thank you Grace, and how lovely to hear that you've loved these four books! You might enjoy THE ONLY CHILD, which is my most recent book, and has a similar dual-timeline mystery.
Next year I will have quite a different book, THE PALAZZO, published in the UK and Australia, and although that is a contemporary crime who- and why-dunnit, there are some common elements from my previous books.

Apologies Alexa, I have only just seen this question. It is an adult novel, but could easily be read by a slightly younger reader, as there aren't any explicit scenes. Hope this helps.

Many thanks for your question Mark and I'm so pleased you enjoyed the novel. I'm afraid at this stage there are no plans for a sequel - apologies that you've been left wanting more!

Huge apologies, Helen - I have only just seen this question.
I'm afraid there won't be a book about Rachel, but I'm so pleased you enjoyed the book. Hopefully, you've enjoyed subsequent ones as well!

Thank you for your question, Miss P, and thanks for choosing it for your book club. He is one of his descendants - it's up to the reader to decide whether or not he might have inherited the same streak of meanness!

Oh that's lovely to hear how much you loved them! I'm afraid there aren't plans for a third book in the series, but my new book, The Botanist's Daughter, will be published on July 31, and features an historical and contemporary timeline. It's available for pre-order from amazon and Booktopia, and I really hope you like it as much (if not more than!) the Shingle Valley novels.
Thanks so much for taking the time to send me a message!
Happy reading,

Oliver and Jennifer from Erich Segal's novel Love Story. Opposites attract, their banter is terrific, and there is a heartbreaking, incredibly poignant outcome. Gets me every time.

Thanks for asking - I'll know more nearer the time, and will certainly update you!

I've always written in some way, shape or form. The idea for Rose's Vintage came about when I was sitting at a cafe in Bondi one blustery winter's day and wondered what it would be like for a young English woman, straight off the plane, arriving at such an unprepossessing place, when she was expecting sunshine and kangaroos... the original scenes in Bondi ended up being cut, but that was the starting point that eventually saw Rose end up in the Shingle Valley, a fictional Australian wine region.

So exciting! I'm from Chile so I'm especially keen on reading this one when it comes out.
I bought The silk house on kmart one day and loved it. Then So exciting! I'm from Chile so I'm especially keen on reading this one when it comes out.
I bought The silk house on kmart one day and loved it. Then this year I got The forgotten letters of Esther Durrant on a bookfair, and finding it familiar I looked you up and realised you had written The silk house! So I'm now in the middle of Esther and after that I will look up your other books.
Your writing is "easy to read". I don't know how to explain it, even though there are words sometimes that I have to look up, it just flows. For someone like me who has English as a second language it is very important and makes the experience way more enjoyable, ...more

1. Read, and then re-read critically - learn from other writers, what works, what doesn't work, how to tell a story and hold the reader's interest. You can have the most beautiful prose in the world, but if there's not a convincing story behind it you will struggle to hold the reader's interest.
2. Write the book you want to read.
3. Writing is a muscle - keep using it.

Being able to set my own hours - even if that does mean that sometimes I am writing at the weekend or at midnight! That, and the feeling of having written.
Kayte Nunn
I plan a large part of the story to start with - even down to what might happen in each chapter, when I'm feeling inspired, so that, later down the track, I know what scene to write even if I'm not feeling particularly creative. I also make myself keep writing until I've reached a certain word count.
