The Balance between good and evil has been struck, but it remains upon shaky ground.
Jared-the angel of balance-is in possession of the golden tome of light. But the other, the dark tome of Lucifer, is in the grasp of Yikan-the immortal, who is relentless in his quest to rule earth as its god.
While searching for Yikan and Lucifer's tome, Jared has found love in the most unusual of places, and lovely the young mortal woman is. But his carelessness and cockiness may just leave him vulnerable to the machinations of Yikan, who plots with the demons of Hell to be rid of him and once again undo the balance.
Astaroth - Beelzebub - Chax - Agares . . . the demon-gods of Hell have risen.
And the god-king of them all, Lucifer, bound by God in slumber until the end of time in the frigid kingdom of Phenox . . . has begun to stir.
