The 3rd book in The Butterfly Memoirs series, Lonely Heart, focused on a woman who found herself alone and pregnant after losing what she thought was the perfect man. Looking at the people in my life, I started wondering, what would it be like for a man to be left to raise a child on his own, especially if he hadn't been aware that he was a father until a few years later. From there, I just ran with it. The reviews that have been coming in since the book, Nobody's Business, was published on July 2, 2015 have left me speechless! By living life and asking myself a bunch of 'what if?' questions. I also try to take the typical storyline and add my own personal twist to make it stand out in a sea of novels. After all, there isn't a story that hasn't been told already, just a new twist that has not been discovered. It's all up to you and your imagination!

The fourth novel in my series, The Butterfly Memoirs, was published on July 2, 2015. Even though that one is fresh out the gate, I'm working on book 5. There's never any down time!

Don't give up, don't rush it. Learning the art of writing and discovering your writing voice takes time, it's never an overnight process. It took me four years to discover mine, and now, with four published novels under my belt, my writing voice has continued to grow over the past 3 years. Writing is an ever-evolving process.

Being able to listen to the 'voices' in your head and know they are there for the purposes of storytelling and not to make you crazy...lol.

By watching TV or just going out and trying new things. When I live my life, I often find myself wondering what would happen if someone else made a different decision than I did. From there, I start daydreaming and the next thing I know, the creative juices are flowing again!
