Heribert von Feilitzsch The Secret War on the United States in 1915 is part of a large manuscript that I broke up into digestible pieces several years ago. Dozens of books have been written on this topic, and no one has gotten the facts straight. This is the most mainstream history book I have written so far. The crisis of 1915 is something every American should know about. The parallels to today's world are astonishing and frightening.
Heribert von Feilitzsch This is my passion. I wake up every morning and hope that my busy schedule will allow me to write. I have never needed inspiration. I have ten new books in my head. My limitation is to allocate the time to write.
Heribert von Feilitzsch I have finished the manuscript for my forth book which also deals with the German Secret Service in World War I. This will conclude my series The Secret War Council, strangely enough as volume 1. It will be a few months of editing and fine tuning before the book is finished. I am planning of having it out this fall. I also am giving between four and six papers at scholarly conferences as well as keynote speeches which I am writing. I am editing a submission to a scholarly journal, a chapter that will appear in a book on the Mexican Revolution. I am also editing the German version of In Plain Sight.
Heribert von Feilitzsch Being an aspiring writer myself I am planning on sticking with it. Very rarely has a writer made it without spending a lot of time and effort over years on his or her quest. I have made good friends with very successful writers. That helps me with confidence that one day, I will have lots of people reading my work. I am not concerned with the commercial success.
Heribert von Feilitzsch The best thing for me is the fact that writing is a personal pursuit. You only rely on yourself to create. For some that is a burden, I love it.
Heribert von Feilitzsch When I get stuck while writing, I get up from my chair, put on my walking shoes and walk for an hour or more until the knot is undone. It worked for me many, many times.
