My father's early life before he came to Canada is a mystery and unfortunately he and his siblings are all deceased so I can't ask them. But there are hints and definite clues I can and will follow up, someday. Deaths, stepmother, harsh grandmother, and leaving England alone on a ship at sixteen all figure in the story.
