Hello Mr. Shoemake! I am translation student in Spain and I am translating into Spanish your book Tangier for class. In order to pass the presentation, I have to introduce not just your book but your biography, and I see (as I've been doing some research) that I can find very little from you and your book. So I was wondering if there's anything else I should write about that's not on the Internet?

And a bit more on Tangier: I was the high school literature teacher at The American School of Tangier from 1996-99, when I first encountered the ghosts in Tangier's streets and got to know Bowles, Choukri, and others in the book.
