Kate Daniels and Curran Lennart. This pair of lovers/fighters is from the imagination of "Ilona Andrews", which also happens to be a factual couple by the name of Gordon and Ilona Andrews. Their Kate Daniels series could easily be termed a rousing ruckus except it's also very methodical in its storytelling. The mythological knowledge Kate, a hard-core mercenary and magic powerhouse, pulls off the top of her head is vastly entertaining. She's also loyal and has a great sense of humor. Her fiance, Curran, a shape shifting lion with a prehistoric heritage, is her equal in every way. He's quiet until you get him riled (i.e. any threat to Kate) and then, POW!!! You're dead. What's great is that sometimes, he'll just stand back and smile appreciatively while Kate takes care of the problem herself. He's generous like that. He's also smart enough to know Kate will kick his butt if he gets between her and her target. Smart man. Anyway, their interaction is a beautiful thing to read and along with a wealth of supporting characters and a great story line, keeps me going back for more. I'll be very sad indeed when the series finally comes to an end.

The idea for Sniper Fire grew a I wrote Sniper Shots. Every time Kyle and/or Farrah made an appearance, they 'begged' me to tell their story. "It's too late," I told them. Sniper Shots is done. It takes place six years after your marriage."
"No, no," they said. "It will work. Just call it a 'prequel'. The readers will love it!"
So I gave in. Now, I'll just have to remember to recommend book 2 before book 1...or does it matter? Anyone who has read both books, let me know please?

Hi Bonnie. So glad you enjoyed Sniper Fire! Yes, I'm working on another sniper book, but it probably won't be done until late next year. Sorry. I'm in the middle of editing several young adult books that I hope will be out in 2015. The new sniper book is titled "Sniper Hunt", and the lead male character is Ty, the NightHawks' most excellent sniper. Do let me know how you like Joshua and Amy in Sniper Shots when you get to it.
