I love the creativity of making up stories that others enjoy reading. After "I Do!" A Marriage Map was a journey back through my life, sometimes visiting happy moments and sometimes sad or angry moments. But getting to share the idea that marriage should be for a life time and how we are succeeding, I hope to give couples a better chance at succeeding, as well.

I'm about to start writing the third book in The Mystic Princesses series. The girls will be back in Hawaii, this time on the Big Island. Respecting the environment, internet safety and avoiding cyber bullying will be part of the story line. The princesses will explore lava tubes and flows, green and black sand beaches and discover rainbow eucalyptus trees.

I wrote a blog post last year on how I broke the domestic violence cycle for a group blog during October (domestic violence month). It received so many hits compared to the other pages that the website designer suggested I write a marriage advice book. The outcome was After "I Do!" A Marriage Map.

Usually, external prompts inspire me to write. I wrote The Mystic Princesses and the Whirlpool after going to Hawaii. While there, we saw Spouting Horn and went on a snuba diving trip. (Snuba is a cross between snorkeling and scuba.)

I don't write when I have writer's block. It is too frustrating. I'll find something else to do, like spend time with my husband or watch TV. Once my creative side rests, the ideas come later.
