Douglas Adams's mind-bending planets in his "increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhikers Trilogy." I would take a towel with me and hitchhike the galaxy with Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect and whoever else happened along. And I would really, really try to cheer up the android Marvin.

So many! Mostly novels, and I've been mixing in some rereads with new books. Rereads include the first three Harry Potter books (because my daughter was rereading them) and the last two Jackson Brodie books by Kate Atkinson, in preparation for reading her new Jackson book, Big Sky. My favorite book so far is one I meant to read a few years ago, when it first came out: What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarity.
