Cruising. I go on a Caribbean cruise in the spring and another in the fall. A cruise clears my mind and I come home tanned, rested, and with a few new book ideas swimming around in my mind.

My most recent books are a middle school trilogy. I got the idea from my thirteen year old son, he's now 35, and his friends when they were in middle school. Plus, I always scared them silly with the horror stories I would invent around a campfire on the riverbank behind our house.

I took a break from the challenges of historical romance for a few months and wrote a middle school trilogy. No research, yay! The books are titled Beware the Attic, Beware the Sky, and Beware the River. If you have middle school children or grandchildren, check them out.
Now, I'll begin writing the Scarlett Rose series. She's a dynamo and who knows what will happen next. At some point, when I sit down and actually begin writing her story, she will let me know whether she prefers to live in the future, or in the past. I'm anxious to hear her decision.
