Ayelet Tsabari Hi Owaiz. Thank you for your kind words and I'm sorry it took me so long to see your question! I'd like to think that it's an authentic depiction of Jerusalem, but of course every author's take on a place is different. People who know the city well seem to find it accurate. I love that you find it familiar! I can relate. I've felt that way before about unlikely places.

Ayelet Tsabari Hi! The book is currently available in paperback in Canada and an American edition will come out with Random House in March 2016. Thank you!
