Sleeping in and setting your own schedule with lots of free time to daydream are a few of the advantages of being a writer. But the best thing about being a writer is when someone tells you how the words you have written have moved them emotionally or changed their perspective; that, to me, is priceless, and it is the author's true legacy.

I don't get writer's block. In fact, I have an over-abundance of ideas floating around in my head at any given time. Sometimes I need to dwell on an idea or a character before I get my fingers moving on the keyboard, but that's just part of the overall process of writing I think. I can get lazy or distracted, but never blocked.
