Cassidy James was inspired by a Taylor Swift song, but backwards. It has to do with two high schoolers that grew up with each other as just friends, but slowly realize that there's more than just a friendship between them.

Although I do not listen to music when I write, it's usually a song I hear that inspires a storyline. Usually, it's right after I get out of the shower that I feel the urge to write- lots of stories have been produced during shower time for me.

It's a YA novel titled, Cassidy James. It has a very similar feel to it as Waiting on Forever, but with completely different characters and storyline. It's a cute, feel-good book that I absolutely adore.

Just keep writing. There's days and book releases that are so bad that you question your talent and your ability to "make-it" in this industry. It's happened to me and a bunch of my writer friends. It's evil, and can really get you down, but at the end of the day, if writing is your passion- in your blood like it is mine…just keep writing!

First and most importantly, it allows me the opportunity to be at home with my kids. Even if sometimes I can't get any writing done with them around, I'm still able to work from home. But, it's just fun. I can think of these crazy stories, put them on paper, and people READ them. It's still crazy to me.

I refuse to force write. If I find myself stuck, I'll step away and do something else until I feel like the juices are flowing again. Its been days sometimes that I've stepped away.
