How would you pronounce the name of Kyra in Harmed And Dangerous? Might it be k-EYE-rah?, with the emphasis on "eye" for obvious reasons.
Jasper Bark Michael, this is a great question. As you rightly pointed out in your review, there is a lot of eye symbolism in the novel, it's a purposeful motif. While I don't believe the author's opinion is ever the last word on something, I have been pronouncing Kyra's name as K-EYE-rah, just as you suggested.
