Graeme Ing It depends if I'm getting blocked on my outline or the actual book.

On the outline, I usually scribble elements of the plot on paper, linking the characters to events, and start brainstorming events and asking questions, like "What's the most exciting thing that could happen here?" If I have to, I leave the problem overnight and let my subconscious work on it.

I rarely get blocked writing the book, because I have the outline, but usually I'll just keep writing the best I can, moving the story forward. At some point, I usually realize WHY I got blocked and what went wrong. Then I go back and fix the problem, even if that means throwing away the new things I wrote.
Graeme Ing Absolutely without doubt it would be Anne McCaffrey's Pern. I would sail the whole world and then beg the weyrs to let me fly on a dragon.
Graeme Ing I don't actually have a planned list. Every time I finish a book, I browse my Goodreads TBR list, or Amazon wishlist and see what I'm in the mood for next. This summer I'm definitely making time for another complete read of the Dragonriders of Pern books by Anne McCaffrey. I re-read them all at least once every 5 years.
Graeme Ing I'm currently editing the final draft of a sci-fi mystery called "Emergence", due to be available on Amazon Fall 2017. I'm also writing the 2nd of a 5-novella Urban Fantasy series set in the near future. The first 3 should be out later 2017.
