Wish I could but I'm not great at horror. Even if I wrote it, the scene would likely haunt me.

I'd have to say Rivendell in the Lord of the Rings.

I just finished 'Love and Ruin' by Paula McLain and loved it! Learning about Martha Gellhorn, the celebrated war correspondent and 3rd wife of Ernest Hemmingway was rewarding. What a dynamic woman! I'm now into 'Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine' but am not finding it as 'incredibly funny' as many have said. Sure, the humour is there in her quirky personality, but finding out how she became so quirky is very sad and her idiosyncrasies become tragic. In real life, it would be difficult to laugh at one such as Eleanor.

I'd have to say P.G. Wodehouse's Wooster and Jeeves...Bertie Wooster because of his quirky personality and Jeeves because of his calm demeanor and brilliant problem solving skills.

I'm working on another book which is not associated with the series about Athenites. It is focused on another fabled creature but I can't tell you more just now.

Never give up! Keep writing and keep learning. I now have three books published and two more written AND I'm still learning.

I leave the keyboard. Trying to force my imagination has never worked. I need to get away and think through the story--basically I daydream about my characters and their plight. This might take an hour or many days. The more relaxed I am, the more my subconscious unlocks and I'm able to take the story where I want it to go.

I have always had an active imagination, always wondering what if this or that. Everyday, something inspires me: animal behavior, the weather, cloud formations, water, people, places.... While my discipline to sit down and write might falter, ideas for stories never deserts me.

The inspiration for Servalius Window came from viewing an exhibit for The World from Above. The images were fantastic and reminded me about the vibrancy of the Earth. One thing led to another and Servalius was born.
