Oh my - there are many - but the most compelling is that of my uncle's death.
He was a former police officer, and was found shot in the head in his bedroom, a tragedy that was ruled a suicide. However, the gun was on one side of the bed, and his body on the other. They claim that he was cleaning his weapon when a muscle spasm shook his hand in the process - a muscle spasm they attribute to an injury from years before.
I'm not an officer, but even I know, you don't clean a loaded weapon.

I take a drive. Staying true to Murphy's Law - as soon as I am in a situation where I cannot write anything down (like driving my car) that is when the idea/plot/character issue I've been having will suddenly break free.

I am about to start on the fifth, and final book of the TEAMS series. All I have to show for it is a blank page, but as every writer knows, a blank page is a powerful (and very scary) thing. I can't say just yet who headlines the finale of the series, but I will say, you've seen him - or rather heard his voice - in all the previous books in the series.
