I am currently working on a follow-up novel to the Hearts of Valor series because Coop's story needs to be written with his own happily-ever-after. Whether that morphs into a new series remains to be seen!

Never stop learning your craft. Seriously, no writer is perfect. There's always room for improvement. The first book I wrote was awful! The first book I published was better. There was a lot of learning in between the two, and a lot of help from other authors I met, my agent and my editors. As I go along, my books get better (translated: I'm happier with the finished product.) But I'm not done learning by a long shot!

Sometimes I go for days without writing a word! Eventually, I'll grab a pencil, a big eraser and a pad of yellow paper and start jotting down words. The first page is murder, but it gets easier. Notice I said 'easier', not 'better.' What is written there isn't very good, but when I finish a scene, chapter or idea, I take my yellow pad, sit down at the computer and start typing. Invariably, it's changed completely by the time I've typed it all out. Sometimes I've gone in a completely different direction than I thought I was going. But writer's block is gone...for a little while anyway!
