Inspired to write? What's that, something you put on a sandwich?
I don't get inspired, or do so rarely that it's not worth mentioning. If I waited to be inspired I'd do one short story in every three years.
I get forced to write by making a commitment, promising a story (often) or a book (rarely), and when the deadline comes, or sometimes after it, I finally muster the guilt based work ethics to actually start writing. Then I write the damn piece and pretty much submit it immediately, because the stuff is going into print and there isn't any time to edit anything, maybe someone else to do the spell checking.
Occasionally I get this weird feeling that I'd actually want to write something that's in my head. Then I wonder, if this is how some people feel all the time. If you got some insipiration pills to make that happen, let me know, will you?
