James Rozoff Thanks for sharing. MLG and the interactive Database are now on my radar. Feel free to connect with me through Facebook, and I have just started Twitter.
James Rozoff Thank you for expressing interest. I see Seven Stones as the book that will be the entry way into the world I am creating. It is the beginning of my second series, which actually takes place in history before my first series, a sort of but not really prequel to The Amazing Morse series. I try to make all my books complete stories of their own so you can pick any of them up without having to commit yourself to something that may never end (I have a definite end in mind, but I see a lot of writers willing to continue a series for as long as readers are willing to pay for the next installment. Seven Stones has a sequel, but it also has a firm ending, not a setup for the next book) . So while I love all of them and find each of them special in its own way, I have made the conscious decision to make Seven Stones the wide door through which readers are most likely to pass :)
James Rozoff I can say exactly what I want to say and then blame it on my characters. "Oh dear me no, those aren't my opinions, that's just the character talking. I would never say such a thing."
James Rozoff Lao Tzu gave the advice: "It is easy to create beautiful art, first become a beautiful person and then paint what comes naturally." While I don't think of myself as a "beautiful person", I interpret this as meaning observe every beautiful influence available to you, and then re-weave it into something personal and new.
James Rozoff The third book in my The Amazing Morse series, The Sleep Of Reason. I'm just amazed that once I opened the door on a story of a magician, escape artistry and the supernatural, how many questions needed to be answered, questions that are important to me personally and hopefully others as well.
James Rozoff I keep the pen or the fingers on the keyboard moving. I remember the advice my English Prof gave, which was "first write, then get it right". If I'm stuck on a plot point, I take a walk. I just keep walking and don't turn back towards home until I've resolved the problem.
