My life. While "Realizing" is not an autobiography or memoir, it is very much related to many experiences that I had growing up in a small town in Minnesota. There are many embellishments in the story to make things more interesting, but Nathan's thoughts and emotions are very real to me.

Just write. Writer's block, for me, is often the result of me feeling like I have to write something perfectly. If I just start writing, not even worrying about whether it makes sense or not, that usually takes care of things and I'm off and running in no time. So, just write - you can always fix later.
