Nils Andersson I have three quite different things on the go at the moment, in a possibly quite confusing mix.

First, I should focus on the final-final edits of "Professor Kompressor out of this world". I think it is done. To the point where I've made pre-release copies available for reviews from StoryCartel. I like the book, but... until you release it you can't know how readers will respond to it. The waiting is frustrating but there is little you can do. I should be thinking about how to promote the book once I release it (21 July 2014).

The second thing also involves waiting... I'm waiting for the talented Geno Allen to complete the audio-book of the first "Professor Kompressor" book. So far, I have a sample of the first chapters and I like it very much. The narration is excellent and even though I know all the jokes I kept thinking "This is great stuff! Who wrote that?" I am very excited to get to listen to the whole package. Hopefully in a couple of week's time.

Finally, and this is perhaps the weirdest, an enthusiastic work colleague has translated the first book into German. So... I have this on my computer, but my German is not good enough to make sense of it. This makes it a very different challenge. Will rely on test readers to do the edits and tweaks. An interesting (and challenging) experience.
Nils Andersson Write what you want to write. Don't expect to become a millionaire, do it because you have a book that needs to come out. Then... listen to advice and continue to work on your skills. You can always improve, no matter how good you are now. At least I hope this is true...
Nils Andersson Feedback and response from readers. No doubt. You don't need to sell millions of books and make a fortune, if you manage to reach and touch individuals that can be enough. Some of the best experiences I've had as an indie author has been the direct comments from enthusiastic readers. This makes all the effort worthwhile.
Nils Andersson My new book "Professor Kompressor out of this world" was inspired by two things. First of all, the title - given my day job as an astrophysicist it seemed inevitable that I had to write space adventure at some point and once I thought of the title... that was it. The second key moment was when I had the idea of how the Professor could make the warp drive work. I am not going to reveal anything here, but I think the solution is very clever.
