My second most recent book, "Gospel of God's Grace and His Kingdom" came by inspiration and develops from a New Testament passage, Acts 20:24-27.
My most recent book, co-authored with my late husband, entitled "Spiritual Lessons from a Scam" came from a bitter experience of being scammed and the lessons of dealing with the situation.

Mainly from my reading and personal experience. Sometimes it is obvious inspiration: An idea just pops into my mind, and once I follow it, the content just flows, almost writing itself.

If you have something you believe is worth sharing, put it together and self-publish. With a bit of computer know-how, it is relatively easy and affordable nowadays to get a book into print and/or e-book format. In fact there are far more self-published books on the market than those published commercially. You may not make a lot of sales, but you can start by sharing your book with family and friends. Having a book in print or digital form is a very satisfying feeling.
