So glad you enjoyed the it, Ceecee. I just read your wonderful review and am so appreciative. I'm definitely a newbie and have much to learn. I pray God will use me to bring Him glory even if it be through simple fiction books.

Stay excited! We all have those discouraging, block days. Walk away for a day, then go back. I just can't kick the giddy feeling I get when I've written a few chapters; dare I say it's like being in love? That being said, write what YOU believe and want to say. You'll never please everybody.

I am currently knee deep into writing my third book; it often consumes me! The main character, Chloe, is an artistic twin who loves free-running. While her new found faith in Christ has filled her with a new joy, she's struggling with how she can still be herself. This story is near and dear to my heart with a fun story line, a little romance (of course there's a sweet man involved), and strong family moments.

If I get completely stuck, I usually make a decision to keep myself super busy doing other things (that's not very hard with four kids). Within a few days I really start to miss my characters and can't wait to get back to giving them adventures. It might make me sound crazy, but they're like friends.
Reading usually helps too. I'm a huge fan of books. When I finish reading a good one I get really excited, and remember how much I want to give that feeling to someone else.

How sure I am that it's what I'm supposed to do. It's crazy. There will be times I'm stuck on a project and I'll be tempted to throw my hands up and stop. It seems like every time I doubt and pray for God to show me his purpose for my life, He plugs another writing idea into my head. There are times I have no choice. Writing is a need.
Even though I've only written fiction so far, I know God can somehow use my books to connect with people. That's encouraging; it's easy to self-doubt, but my confidence in the Lord is endless!

There's something about taking a walk on my dirt road. It must be the quiet; nature really seems to provoke ideas. More often than not I find myself running home to get those ideas onto paper.
Oh, and going to bed. Hah, it never fails...as soon as I rest my head on that pillow a scene just starts developing in my mind. Those characters continue to harass me until I finally surrender and drag myself out of bed and join them.
