Robert Patrick Lewis I know other authors are going to hate me, but it's not a problem. I don't have enough time for all the books & ideas I already have.

I just use my method. I get inspiration every morning...it may not be for what I'm working on at the moment, so I just jump to whatever it's for, put it down, and then move on to the next objective.
Robert Patrick Lewis I was in a program called WINGS when I was a kid, going to Odyssey of the Mind competitions my entire life, built entirely around creativity.

I enjoy getting to use that creative part of my brain...and of course re-live my experiences in Special Forces without actually getting shot at or waking up frozen to the ground!
Robert Patrick Lewis Form a method for your writing, and never waste an inspiration.

If you have a method, it will allow you to jump in and out of timelines as inspiration hits, which is anytime, anywhere & about anything (if you're doing it right).
Robert Patrick Lewis "The Pact, book 2" is mostly complete...I'm finishing connecting the dots on that one, and the first book in my new "Patriot" series titled "A Patriot is Born."

The Patriot series picks up where "Love Me When I'm Gone" left off, and moves from the non-fiction into fiction, assuming I took the offer I was given at the end of my career in Special Forces.
Robert Patrick Lewis Every book that I write, I see as a movie initially. "Love Me When I'm Gone" was of course non-fiction, but I have 20+ books outlined at the moment, and each one of those I see a short movie while running or doing yoga, and hurry home as quickly as I can to capture what I saw.

I write very methodically, so once I write the 1-page treatment of the vision I had, I decide how to break it up, how long/how many chapters, then create the table of contents to name the chapters.

I write a paragraph describing each chapter, where it goes, what happens and what characters come in, die, etc, and finally turn each paragraph into a full chapter.
Robert Patrick Lewis As scary as it is, this book is fiction but comes from real life experiences and things I've seen going on in the news. This is a combination of briefings I received while in Special Forces as well as the news I've seen about all of our enemies around the world becoming extremely close.
