How do you get inspired to write?
Grant Jarrett I'm waiting to find out. In the meantime, I write as much as I can because it's what I need to do. Or I find ways to avoid it, like this.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Grant Jarrett I didn't have much of an idea when I started writing. I had part of a character, who gradually became real to me, and the beginning of a situation. From there, as I forged ahead with a combination of blind faith and desperation, the story blossomed.
