Judith L. Mitrani I would travel to Tolkien’s Shire, land of the Hobbits, And live happily ever after walking barefoot through gardens of flowers and eating hearty meals and sitting back smoking a pipe with friends by a warm fire. No more adventures for me, I’ve encountered and fought enough dragons in my lifetime ‼️
Judith L. Mitrani I had a great time with my best buddy Jeff at the street dance at Miami U. We always dressed in matching bell bottom hip-huggers and horizontal stripe crew neck tee-shirts. I knew we had a special bond. But that night, after he dropped me off at my Dad’s hotel on the beach at 1:30am and drove off toward his dormitory at the university, I fell asleep and woke with a start at 2am from a nightmare that ended with Jeff striking another vehicle on the highway, head on. I was shaking and couldn’t fall back to sleep; The dream was so real. Finally I telephoned Jeff’s dorm only to discover that he had been rushed to the Dade County Hospital after a head on collision.at 2am that morning. How can we explain such phenomena?
Judith L. Mitrani I live life as fully as I can, just as I worked as deeply as I could possibly work, and I keep track of my observations even if they don’t seem to be a future centerpiece of a paper or a book.
Judith L. Mitrani I am currently working on both a prequel and a sequel to my current Mystery and Novel, just published on September 6. I know the centerpiece of each but I won’t tell you because that would constitute a spoiler. As I’ve said before I work from the center outward. This leaves me in The state of not knowing and being open to surprises. This is the best way for me to work.
Judith L. Mitrani In my clinical writing I always found it most successful to take what I did know, the clinical interactions of that particular day. What you do know always becomes the centerpiece for what you don’t know, whether it be in non-fiction or infection. And then research, and allowing your unconscious to take over from there to flesh out the story, Will lead to a wholesome conclusion of a first draft. After that, rewrite, rewrite, rewrite, rewrite, and ask those who will to read and give you comments to help you rewrite over again.
Judith L. Mitrani For me, writing was originally my way to advance on an international level in my profession as a Psychoanalyst. However once I was retired from my clinical work, writing became an enjoyable outlet, that I dare say saved my life during the 18 months of confinement during the Covid-19 pandemic. Writing stimulates me to think about past experiences, about future possibilities, And to find an outlet for my frustrations. I love the process and I also enjoy the outcome.
Judith L. Mitrani In the late 80s and early 90s, I was practicing Psychoanalyst observing The effects of hatred envy jealousy and competitiveness within my society and within the international scene as well. Disappointed and stunned to realize that these so-called well-analyzed professionals we’re on some levels as disturbed as those whom they claimed to be able to heal. With little outlet for my observations or for discussions with colleagues A story revolving around the murder of a fictitious leader and the impact that dogmatic practice can have an even the inner circle.
Judith L. Mitrani As the pandemic worsens through 2022, science and religion come together in support of the theory that a power greater than mankind has determined that the real threat to earth is mankind itself, and that the only way to preserve the remainder of life on the planet is to annihilate man with a formidable viral foe, capable of endless adaption, and which can continue to find ample hosts to enable their adaptation far more rapidly and effectively than science and politics can come to an agreement on an effect solution.
