I haven't really had a "BLOCK", I've gotten stuck a few times where I said "now what?" I learned this tip at a workshop I attended that really helps me. Write down 10 things that COULD POSSIBLE HAPPEN and see if something strikes a story line - most times I only get to #4 or #5 and I have an idea.

Seriously... I was brushing my teeth and when I looked in the mirror I saw my mother's face looking back at me. I know it's because I'm getting older and everyone says I look more like her, but it give me the beginning of the idea for The Face in the Mirror.
