Joe Clemson woke up to find his left leg was missing, the remaining part of his limb stitched up. Next to him was a note saying, 'I can reattach it, just follow the instructions.'

For me, travel to outer space would be a good place to start. Traveling to other worlds and discovering other cultures in space would be mind expanding. Also, working through problems in space would be a welcomed challenge.

Hello and thank you for the question. Right now, I am reading
Drop Dead, Gorgeous, by my friend Mike Jastrzebski. I like reading mystery novels and suspense thrillers. So, I also plan to read Mortal Sin, by Paul Levine. And, I have read all the mysteries by James Lee Burke. I hope he will release another this summer. Maybe. Happy reading.

That's a good question. I will answer it two ways. First, in my own life, I'd like to track down a few close friends of mine, where I grew up in Chicago. Close buddies that I would like to catch up with, wives, families, what they are doing now. That kind of thing. I have tried, but I cannot locate them. And the book part, maybe they are doing something extra special with their lives. That could be a book. And second, I see plots everywhere. A person who walks in a room could be a hit-man. My imagination runs with it. Thanks for the question and thanks for being a reader.

I am a fan of mystery writer James Lee Burke. His character, Dave Robicheaux and his wife Molly have been through a lot. She, and the readers, stayed with him through his alcoholism and troubles on and off the force. I offer Molly and Dave as my favorite couple.

It is a mixture of a lot of things, all rolled into a single plot. I love the "what if" situation and that is exactly what I have in the new book called Pearls.
I hope that answers your question.

My background meant that I was always writing with deadlines. Because of that, I never got writer's block because the work simply had to get done. I carried that over into my novel writing. There is no writer's block for me, number one. And second, if my plot and characters are interesting, block never enters the picture.

I have enjoyed writing since the age of 12, when I won a city wide essay contest, a trophy and $250 dollars. Money aside, what's most important is I really like putting together plot and character. My own fictional story. When the plot and character jell, the writing flows. Quite an experience.

For me, I am a mystery novelist. I attended one of the many great writing conferences around the country. It is a great place to network, possibly meet an agent and hear from those who are already published. Beside that, you might want to join a good critique group. One here in south Florida really helped me.

I finished Pearls, which is due out in October and for the moment I am working on a screenplay.

It's a combination of great characters and what I think is a powerful plot. If I get excited about the plot, then I hope my readers will as well. More than that, I just love to write.
