Skip the parts you cant figure out. need a name and don't have one ready. user personX until you figure it out. I find this very helpful, as stories evolve sometimes minor unnamed characters merge together and become more meaningful.

The Cyclone Gauntlet grew out of a conversation I had with my dad. He said "Someone should right a children's book about hot air balloons." I wrote a short story about a girl excited to go on a hot air balloon ride. Then I thought to myself, "What if there was a little more adventure?" The adventure got bigger and bigger until it became an entire book revolving around the girl and her cousin.
