Ann Dunbar The best thing about being a writer is being able to visit the world that your character lives in. Starting Over in Montana is my first published book, and I enjoyed writing about the characters and the world they live in.
Ann Dunbar I started writing when I was a child. I wrote my first story when I was young. It was called Teddy Saves Thanksgiving. Writing was always a way for me to express myself. I have starts of stories saved in journals and old floppy disks. It wasn't until my Dad said that I needed to write a book that I even thought about publishing my stories. After my dad died, I wanted to write the book for him and myself.
Ann Dunbar The idea came to me in a dream. I tend to dream up most of my characters. If I don't write down the ideas, then the characters will constantly bug me to write about them and their stories. My next characters are already giving me ideas for their book!
