William Lynes The name 606 University is where a medical school fraternity that I was a member exists. It has a storied history. The idea of a who done it just occurred to me.
William Lynes I write, and ideas also just pop into my head. Writing leads to the story generally.
William Lynes I am writing two books about an alcoholic urologist named Lee W. Hickok. Set in Galveston Texas in the late seventies. 606 University is a story of the death of a medical student during a debauched fraternity party at 606 University. Sweet Amber is a story about the same character, Lee W. Hickok. He becomes involved in the surgery on the Governor of Texas. The surgery goes well but the patient ultimately dies. His alcoholism is blamed for the death.
William Lynes Write. As you do so you will hone your craft and improve your skills. Writing groups are so good at giving you feedback.
William Lynes Creativity. There is a joy about creating in my case a fictitious world. It can really be a high, and so enjoyable.
William Lynes Wait. Time will bring out inspiration. Also, when inspired just write!
