Since no one specified that this had to be a fictional couple from literature, I'll answer it this way:
Favorite fictional TV couple: Luke and Laura (from General Hospital) because I'm old enough to know who they are...
Favorite fictional couple from the movies: Charlie and Rose from The African Queen because I'm old enough to appreciate the classics...
And last but not least, favorite fictional couple from literature: Rhett and Scarlett from Gone With the Wind... like I said, I'm old enough to appreciate the classics.

The most important trait for any author is having a thick skin. You've got to be able to take criticism, even if it's not always "constructive." Know that a lot of people simply won't like your work and respect their right to say so. If someone expresses their distaste in an especially nasty or hateful manner, it reflects more on their character than it does on your work. Consider the source and let it go!

If I'm really stuck, I'll resort to a trick I learned as a reporter. Ironically it's called "block writing." Start with the "facts" gleaned from research or other sources that you plan to use in your book (essay, short story, speech...) and put that on the page first.
Then just throw everything else you can possibly think of on the page and worry about cleaning it up later! Play with the words and have fun. Don't try to stress too much about making it perfect!
