Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Ben Wise It was one of those shower moments. Without spoiling anything, I thought of a 'What if?' type question with two possible answers. And decided that the story needed them both answered. And that lead to the thought - Ultimately, some 'answers' raise new questions that will never have answers.

And that became Feathers Fall.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Ben Wise 1) There's lots of good advice out there on the interwebs. Drink it in and pay attention to all of it

2) Always have something close by with which to write ideas down. An idea not written down is an idea quickly lost.

3) Understand how to pace you prose to match the scene. Rapid scenes don't have time for flowery exposition!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Ben Wise I love getting feedback from readers. While putting one's work in front of a new set of eyes is always a nervous undertaking, I enjoy the feedback that comes along with it.
