Barbara de Mora Writing flows best when ideas and images creep up from your subconscious and will not stop flowing. During such times, the writing energy is so intense that I feel as if I'm downloading paragraphs from outside myself. This, however, is a backward way of writing a book, because the whole plot only forms along the way. Going back and re-touching up the concepts has been my method, which is not very efficient or compatible with a time schedule. I find this way allows the end product to fit together well and none of the initial magic is lost.

Barbara de Mora The best thing about being a writer is the feeling of creativity. I don’t mean from the point of view of the ego, but from the sheer joy of the experience of pulling ideas out of nowhere and marvelling at the process of their translation into printed reality in the outside world.
Barbara de Mora Writer's block can only occur if you want to force your writing because the ideas do not come. If the time doesn't feel right, then I don't write. The same applies to forcing a painting, which often leads to throwing away the canvas. Stimulation seems to come from new experiences or research. After a period of rest, the ideas start to flow again.
