Music and reading! I read, read, read! It opens up the floodgates for me. I will grab a book, turn on my music, and just let myself be taken away by it. Usually then, the creative juices start to flow. The biggest thing is finding the time to not only get those juices flowing, but keep them flowing!

Touching people's lives in such an emotional way and knowing God is using me! Nothing makes my day greater than someone saying they were touched by my words in a real way!

Keep it up! I think that is what every author would say. Write, rewrite, and write some more and don't give up. It is so easy to get dismayed in this industry, especially with work that is so dear to us. But we have to learn to be passionate about the work to a point that we won't get dismayed at the first "no" or negative review. Believe in your work, take criticism, learn, grow and keep running the race!

I have always loved to write. It has been an outlet for me to get through tough times. I was inspired to try to publish The Warring Soul, by a friend of mine who thought it could be a real encouragement to others. After speaking with some local pastors, I too, felt there was a need for a young adult novel that dealt with "real" issues that people today could relate to and garner hope from in a unique way.

The book I am working on currently is a spin off of the first book. In this one we will look at the life of Sam (Kate's best friend). My inspiration for these novels, of course, is bringing people closer to the Lord. I like to show that our redemptive stories are like snowflakes - no two stories are the same and each story is beautiful in it's own way.
