Christian, I wanted to reach out to you because my grandmother was a Baloga. I'm not certain we are related but are similar interests are uncanny. I have one great uncle still alive - my Uncle Alois. My great grandmother had 3 daughters and 2 sons. Unfortunately, my Great Uncle Albert did not sire any children. I wonder if you are from the "other" Baloga family who are distant relatives also from the Wilkes-Barre?
Christian Baloga Hi there, Rebekah, thank you for reaching out to me. I’ve always had great curiosity for the Baloga families in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Originally my great-grandfather Stefan immigrated to the United States from Czechoslovakia in 1922. Six years later he saved enough to send my great-grandmother Mary and her son John Baloga, my grandfather, to the United States to join him. My grandfather raised six children in Swoyersville. They are now spread throughout the eastern part of the U.S., though my father, David Baloga, his wife, and his three kids, including myself, remain in NEPA.
