I want to read something that's completely different from what I'm working on, so I think I'll catch up on some John Grisham. I read so much non-fiction, it will be a nice break that way, too.

I can't tell you too many details because I'm in the middle of writing it. But I can tell you it includes events strongly suggestive of reincarnation and running afoul of a serial murderer.

I'm tempted to say The Lone Ranger and Silver, but only another horseman would understand.
Romeo and Juliet score highly in the lovelorn Olympics ( getting a 9.6 from the Romanian judge) for that breathless, obsessive, all-consuming passion known only to kids in their early teens. I touched base there, but there's never a bodkin around when you need one.
Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara are both hopelessly in love -- with Scarlet. She's the perfect narcissistic, manipulative psychopath, and Rhett thinks he knows her. He doesn't. I bumped into a Scarlet once, myself. Still recovering.
Marguerite and Sir Percy get the first place nod for me. I love that he protects her from what he has to do, and that she continues to love him even when he seems cold and distant. If they were a country song it would be, "Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be Scarlet Pimpernels; they're never at home and they're always alone even with someone they love."
Honorable mention: Daisy and Gatsby; Holmes and Watson.

If I get stuck on something, I let it rest and go work on something else. I never edit while I'm writing. I'm not trying to make it "perfect" on the first draft. I have a sign above my desk: "Don't get it right; get it written."

I can have a cup of java, put my feet up, crank up some Chet Baker tunes, stare out the window --- and call it "working."

Right now, I'm chipping away at the sequel to ECLIPSE OF THE HEART, entitled SPARTACUS JONES AND THE FILM NOIR COWBOY. While doing that, I'm working on a couple other pieces that are at various stages of development.

I don't know. I can't remember a time when I DIDN'T write. It beat hell out of reality. So now, I write the way some people breathe.

Robin Hood was a big hero of mine as a kid. I guess I decided to paint him with a dark brush because of my own ill-spent youth.
